About the project

A client came to us with a familiar worry: their site felt slow, and a competitor kept outranking them. They wanted a number to point at, so we ran a full audit — expecting to hand back a to-do list about image sizes and caching.

The speed problems were real, and we fixed them: Performance climbed from 37 to 92, and Accessibility, Best Practices, and SEO each reached a perfect 100. But the audit surfaced something they hadn't asked about — their site was quietly invisible to a category of visitors that didn't exist a few years ago: the AI agents now browsing the web on people's behalf, and the answer engines deciding who gets cited.

The fix served all three audiences at once. The same clean structure, semantic markup, alt text, and Core Web Vitals work that makes a site fast for people and legible to search is exactly what makes it readable to machines.

How jordan_digital Delivered Value

jordan_digital ran an expert-led audit — automated tooling plus a senior human review of the real experience — then remediated the findings, turning a slow, hard-to-read site into one that's fast for people, trusted by search, and legible to the AI agents now reading it for them.

  • Baselined the site with Lighthouse and real-user field data, then reviewed the actual experience the way a person, a search engine, and an AI agent each would.
  • Fixed Core Web Vitals — optimized the LCP hero, cut main-thread JavaScript to improve responsiveness (INP), and reserved space for media to eliminate layout shift (CLS).
  • Closed WCAG accessibility gaps a score never catches: real screen-reader journeys, keyboard and focus order, color contrast, and properly labeled forms and errors.
  • Hardened best practices and security to modern standards and removed broken, outdated, and bloated code.
  • Strengthened findability for search and answer engines alike — clean titles and metadata, semantic HTML, and structured data that makes the site quotable by AI (AEO).
  • Delivered a prioritized, plain-language report tying each finding to what it cost — speed, rank, revenue, and risk — with a clear remediation path.
